It is located between St Mellion and the River Tamar, with the National Trust house Cotehele to the north and the privately-owned Pentillie Estate(Pentillie website ) to the south. It is partly rural and partly a commuter dormitory for Plymouth.The parish church is dedicatd to St Dominica and has two aisles.
